‘Sheikh Russel could have taken the country forward’

Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries President Md. Jashim Uddin said if Sheikh Russel had survived, he could have taken the country forward together with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, could have given the necessary direction to the country from the side of the Prime Minister in the national and international crisis. Today's Bangladesh would be more prosperous, more promising.”

Jashim Uddin came up with the observation while speaking a virtual discussion and prayer organized by Bangladesh Insurance Association on the occasion of Sheikh Russel's birthday and "Sheikh Russel Day-2021" on Monday.

Speaking as the chief guest, he said that those who did not spare even the young kid Russel in the killing of Bangabandhu and his family are the worst murderers in history.
