Professor ASM Sirajul Haque has joined as the Treasurer of Canadian University of Bangladesh.
The Ministry of Education issued this order on September 21 and he joined on September 25, Canadian University said in a statement on Sunday.
Prior to join at the Canadian University of Bangladesh, Sirajul served in several posts including Professor, Vice Principal and Principal at different government colleges in Bangladesh.
He has more than 35 years of both teaching and administrative institutional experiences in education sector.
Sirajul was engaged with research of Asiatic Society of “Bangladesh at the part of Encyclopedia of Bangladesh Liberation War” about Dhamrai Upazila. He served as the member of Academic Council of National University of Bangladesh from 2012 to 2014. He also served as the member of the University Council at the same time.
Sirajul Haque started his career at Government SK College, Gopalganj as a Lecturer in 1984.
Then, in 1994, he was promoted as an Assistant Professor and started his job at Boalmari Government College, Faridpur. After getting promotion as an Associate Professor, he joined at Rajbari Government College in 2002. In 2008, he started his job at Government Saroda Sundari Mohila College, Faridpur as Vice Principal. In 2010, he was promoted as Professor and joined at Government Debendra College, Manikganj and continued as Vice Principal from 2012 to 2015. He became the Principal at Dhamrai Government College on 2015 and continued till 2018.
