ICMAB team meets BSEC chairman

A delegation of ICMAB led by its President Abu Bakar Siddique met Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Professor Shibli Rubaiyat-ul Islam at his office on Thursday and discussed matters related to professional interest.

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) President apprised the BSEC chairman regarding the present status and activities of the institute and sought all-out support from the government for its further and rapid development, said a press release.

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) chairman highly appreciated the role of the professional accountants in the economic development of the country and assured to provide full co-operation for the development of CMA profession.

ICMAB Vice-President Mamunur Rashid, Treasurer AKM Kamruzzaman, former president and council member Jasim Uddin Akond and Executive Director Muhammad Abdullah were present in the meeting, among others.

South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) President and former president of ICMAB AKM Delwer Hussain was also present.
