Professor Emeritus, former Vice Chancellor of BRAC University and distinguished professor at Pennsylvania State University Syed Saad Andalib, who has made tremendous contributions in various fields of education and research narrated his life’s story in the 26th episode of IPDC Ogroj.

Ogroj is an online programme organised by IPDC Finance, where distinguished academics, researchers, marketing strategists, business specialists and other such reputed people who have made enormous contributions in the post-independence period of Bangladesh are invited to talk about their extraordinary lives, said a media release.

On the Ogroj stage, Syed Saad Andalib reminisced about his academic career in a lively talk with the renowned banker and eloquent speaker Anis A Khan.

Professor Andalib holds a PhD in Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, along with a BS in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree from the University of New Hampshire. However, Andalib’s efforts to establish an effective education system in the country goes further than this. To make full use of the knowledge bestowed onto him, he took up an initiative called the Foundation for Learning Teaching and Research (FLTR) along with nine vice-chancellors of the top private universities in Bangladesh.

He has been serving as the Vice Chairperson of FLTR since 2015 to develop tertiary level teaching and research at universities, with a focus on innovation and excellence in higher education.

IPDC Finance Managing Director & CEO Mominul Islam said, “Professor Andalib has created a strong foundation for the future of the country by making remarkable contributions in his fields of expertise. We want to shift the focus of the masses on the lives of all such leading personalities who continue to push forward the development of our beloved country. His presence on the stage of Ogroj has thus made our initiative much more meaningful.”
