UAE National Day observed in Dhaka

The UAE Embassy in Dhaka has celebrated the 50th National Day virtually due to persistent Covid-19 situation.

A number of dignitaries and friends of UAE including the chief guest Agriculture Minister Dr. Abdur Razzaque have joined in celebration.

Ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions, ministers, members of parliament, high government officials, businesspersons, media personalities, and personalities from academic and social institutions also attended the ceremony, said a press release.

UAE Embassy in Dhaka Chargé d'Affaires Abdulla Ali AlHmoudi said, “This year both UAE and Bangladesh are celebrating Golden Jubilee of our establishment. The relationship between two countries and people in recent years has now expanded in various areas beyond the political, economic and defence partnership.”

He also hoped that the existing excellent relations would be further expanded in-depth and dimension in upcoming days.

He mentioned UAE’s remarkable achievements over the past 50 years. He highlighted the glorious journey of UAE ties almost five decades of Bangladesh.

‘‘We are celebrating 50 years of accomplishments and achievements of our remarkable journey from the past till today and the world witnessed tremendous transformative change of UAE that we have done over the years.
