Jahangir Alam joins ZUEL as adjunct professor

Jahangir Alam joins ZUEL as adjunct professor

Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) Professor Jahangir Alam stepped in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) in China as an adjunct professor.

The prestigious position for three years came following his ornamental research activities done across the world, said a media release.

Besides, Alam is involved with the University of South Australia & the University of Arkansas USA as an adjunct professor.

According to the release, Jahangir Alam is playing a pivotal role in research arena. He has so far published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals, many book chapters and written many research reports.

He is a recipient of Best Publication Award for 6 times, Global Research Impact Award for 2 times and Bangladesh University Grant Commission award.

Alam also devoted longer period as Visiting Fellow at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University, and as a Fulbright Scholar at Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, Cornell University, New York.

He was a Visiting Fellow at the Dept. of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness at Louisiana State University, USA. He has also been a Commonwealth Fellow at SOAS, University of London and a Visiting Professor at DIT, Ireland where he taught Global Food System.

Jahangir Alam obtained his Master’s degree in Agricultural Development from Ghent University and both Masters in Agricultural Marketing and BSc in Agricultural Economics from BAU, it added.
