Akij Food and Beverages gets taxpayer award

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has recognised Akij Food and Beverages Ltd for paying the highest tax in the July 2020-June 2021 fiscal year.

NBR handed over the award during an event hosted at a city hotel, said a media release on Monday.

Akij Venture Group Managing Director & CEO Syed Alamgir received the award on behalf of the organisation.

Akij Food and Beverages contributed a total of Tk 420.61 crore in VAT and supplementary duty to the national exchequer in that fiscal year under the Large Tax Payers Unit (LTU) authority.
