An Emirates flight EK 586 with special “United Arab Emirates 50” livery touched down in Dhaka on December 16, marking the Golden Jubilee of the UAE and Bangladesh this month.

The arrival of the special decal aircraft celebrates a major milestone for both countries, and underscores Emirates’ long-standing commitment to Bangladesh, said a media release on Monday.

Emirates launched operations to Bangladesh in 1986, serving the country for more than 35 years. The airline’s operations to the country continue to play a vital role in supporting the country’s growth in trade, business and tourism. The airline’s Boeing 777-300ER and Emirates A380 aircraft with bespoke ‘United Arab Emirates 50’ livery is currently flying across its global network, spreading the UAE’s Golden Jubilee messages of unity, innovative vision and ambitious spirit.

Emirates currently serves Dhaka with 21 weekly flights– connecting customers to more than 120 destinations via Dubai.
