LankaBangla Foundation donates blankets to poor in Jashore

LankaBangla Foundation has handed over winter blankets to the Jashore unit of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society to help the helpless, destitute and poor common people of Jashore district during this winter.

LankaBangla Foundation conducts this blanket distribution programme every year as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities at the Red Crescent’s Jessore unit, the foundation said in a statement on Sunday.

It said this year this programme was held in Jessore considering the needs of the distressed and winter-affected people. The main objective of this programme is to alleviate the suffering of the impoverished and winter-affected people of the society. Zahid Hasan Tukun, Secretary, Jessore Red Crescent Unit and senior officials of LankaBangla were present during the distribution.
