Syed Almas Kabir, the chief executive officer of MetroNet Bangladesh Limited, has been elected as president and Md Motaher Hoshan Khan, director of Bengal Technological Corporation Limited, as secretary general of Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI).
They will lead the joint chamber in the next two years until 2023, said a press release on Monday.
According to the release, they were elected in the 20th annual general meeting (AGM) of the BMCCI on Sunday.
Besides, Khan and Deen Traders CEO Shabbir Ahmed Khan and Acting CEO of Robi Axiata Limited M Riyaaz Rasheed were elected as vice presidents while ALLIANT Limited Managing Director Rubaiyat Ahsan as joint secretary and GD Assist Limited MD Syed Moinuddin Ahmed elected as treasurer.
The other elected Directors are - KM Mijanur Rahman, managing director of Maria Food Products Limited, Jamilur Rahman, managing director of Extol (Bangladesh) Limited, Mahbub Alam Shah, executive director of SMH New Generation Apparels Limited, Sifat Ahmed Chaudhuri, director of Wingspeed Propellers Limited, AFM Asif, CEO of Bengal Meat Processing Industries Limited, Dr Lokiat Ullah, executive director of BIOPHARMA Limited, Md Mamunur Rahman, CEO of EXPOPRO, Syed A Habib, chairman of iPeople Limited, Zulfikar Ali, chairman of Ezzy Services and Resources Management Limited, and Kazi Shah Muzakker Ahmadul Hoque, managing director of Infra Construction and Engineering Limited.
