‘Bangabandhu Theke Bishwabondhu’ unveiled

NRBC Bank, Bangabandhu Parishad Russia and Bangabandhu Parishsad USA have jointly unveiled a book titled ‘Bangabandhu Theke Bishwabondhu’ on father of the nation.

A book launching ceremony was held on Monday night at Bangla Academy’s Abdul Karim Shahittaya Bisharad Auditorium to unveil the book, the bank said in a statement.

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury was present virtually as chief guest at the ceremony. NRBC Bank Chairman SM Parvez Tamal presided over the function.   

Dr. Mashiur Rahman, economic affairs adviser to the prime minister, Muhammad Nurul Huda, Director General of Bangla academy, Veteran educationist AAMS Arefin Siddique, Poet Asad Chowdhury, Dr. Nuran Nabi, Rafiqul Islam Mia Arzoo, AKM Mostafizur Rahman were also present as the special guest.

Total 75 eminent Bangladeshi personalities from different corner of the world, who have seen Bangabanghu from close vicinity, have given their valuable writing in the book.  Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury, Poet Asad Chouwdhury, Dr. Nuran Nabi, Parvez Tamal and Dr Aminur Rahman Sultan have worked for the editing panel of the book.

In the ceremony, five different persons and organisations have been awarded for their contribution in their particular arena.

Masroor Arefin, MD & CEO of City Bank, for literature, RTV for Creative Media, Channel 71 for objective Journalism, SKS Foundation for Development of Marginalised people, Monjurul Islam, Chief Editor & CEO of DBC news as Media Personality were awarded these award.
