UCB gets appreciation letter from BB

United Commercial Bank Limited (UCB) got appreciation letter from Bangladesh Bank on achieving top position for successful implementation of CMSME Covid- 19 stimulus package in Fiscal Year 2020-2021.

Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir handed over the appreciation letter to Arif Quadri, Managing Director of UCB, the bank said in a statement.

It said, under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a financial stimulus package was announced to facilitate CMSME (Cottage, Micro,

Small and Medium Enterprises) to tackle the global pandemic Covid-19 and revive the country’s economic

activities & business environment. UCB fulfilled 100 per cent implementation of CMSME stimulus package and disbursed Tk 1,250 crore in the first phase which is the highest in the industry.

UCB is the largest private commercial bank of the country with remarkable exposure in corporate, SME, RMG and other banking products and services.
