A total of 217 underprivileged people have received free cataract surgeries at the free eye camps organised in the rural areas of the country.
Six free eye screening camps were organised in Panchagarh, Thakurgaon, Nilphamari, and Dinajpur district during January 8-25, this year to eliminate preventable blindness. The Eye Care Programme of Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (ECP-MSS) organised these free eye camps. The surgeries were completed at ECP’s partner hospitals, said a media statement.
