City Bank wins ‘Best Issuing Bank in South Asia’ award

City Bank has recently won the ‘Best Issuing Bank in South Asia’ award from International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Through this award, City Bank has been recognised as the most successful partner bank in South Asia for the utilisation of IFC’s Global Trade Finance Program (GTFP) fund and for good performance under this programme, the bank said in a statement.

Allen Forlemu, regional industry director of Financial Institutions Group, handed over the award to City Bank Chairman Aziz Al Kaiser.

From a network of over 500 partner banks of IFC, 46 banks have won these awards in 48 categories, based on a competitive process.

The award is a testament to City Bank’s endeavours to provide the best trade solutions to its clients by increasing financing capacity and improving operational efficiency, financial health and risk management.
