Habiganj Agro Limited and Sylvan Technologies Limited, sister concerns of PRAN Group, received ‘National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award-2020’ for enhancing productivity and manufacturing quality products.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun handed over the awards through a program held at hotel Sonargaon in the capital on Sunday afternoon.
Eleash Mridha, Managing Director of PRAN Group received the award on behalf of Habiganj Agro while Engr. Mostafizur Rahman, Chief Operating Officer at Sylvan Technologies received the award on behalf of the company.
Among the awards, Habiganj Agro Ltd got second award for food industry sector in large industrial category and Sylvan Technologies Ltd received the first prize under steel and engineering sector in medium industry category.
Habiganj Agro is manufacturing and marketing various kinds of food products including biscuit and wafers. Therefore, Sylvan Technologies is manufacturing prefabricated buildings and various power distribution panels including transformers.
Eleash Mridha said, “We are working to boost productivity and quality of our products. This recognition will inspire us to do more.”
State Minister for Industries, Kamal Ahmed Mojumder, attended the program as special guest. Zakia Sultana, Secretary of Industries Ministry, Md. Jashim Uddin, President of The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), among others, were also present on the occasion.
