Likee launches hashtag to help flood-hit people

Renowned short video platform, Likee has recently launched a designated hashtag page, #Sylhetflood, on their platform to help the flood-affected people with essential information, advice and news regarding the flood, according to a press release.

The topic page on the app is aimed at spreading content that projects the latest updates on the flood, information on government relief, emergency response, common recommendations and essential know-how on disaster management for the mass.

The platform has been working to mobilize its in-house information and technology resources to help the flood-hit people of Sylhet. The hashtag page #Sylhetflood includes hotline numbers for people to call at any time for necessary information or help.

As a riverine and flood-prone country, the lives of coastal and char people are greatly get affected, and the situation has become worse over the past decades. Likee, a company concerned about alarming societal issues, feels the responsibility to come forward to the aid of the country’s people, Likee officials said in the press release.
