BUBT arranges fire drills for employees

The Office of the Proctor of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) conducted a ‘Fire Drill and Evacuation Exercise’ at the university campus, Rupnagar, Dhaka, on Tuesday.

Faculty members, officials, security personnel, staff and students participated in the drill said a statement.

The purpose of the fire drill was to cultivate a sense of responsibility on the aspect of fire safety among students and to make awareness to follow proper procedures for evacuating affected people.

The fire was simulated on the playground of BUBT, and thereafter teachers, students, Rovers, BNCC members, officials and staff extinguished the flames and ensured the safety of personnel.

Prof Dr Md Fayyaz Khan, Vice-Chancellor, inaugurated the program and emphasized the importance of the awareness of the risk of fire. He said that everyone to be aware of the consequences of fire, not only on the campus but also at their homes. He also advised all to put out the fire within the first few minutes.
