Union Bank’s 9th AGM held

Union Bank Limited held its’ 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday.

The meeting was presided over by the bank Chairman Ahsanul Alam on a digital platform, reads a press release.

In the AGM, the bank announced a 10 per cent dividend, including 5 per cent cash incentives to shareholders for the year ended December 31, 2022.

Managing Director (MD) and CEO of the bank ABM Mokammel Haque Chowdhury made the welcoming note, while Additional MD Md Habibur Rahman was present along with other higher officials of the bank.

They presented the annual financial statement and announced the dividends for shareholders.

In his welcome speech, ABM Mokammel Haque Chowdhury, Managing Director and CEO of the bank, said, “With proper management and provision of quality banking services, we have been able to continue the upward trend in success. Last year, the total assets of Union Bank increased by 15.42 per cent. At the end of 2021, the total assets of our bank was Tk 21,003 crore, which increased to Tk 24,944 crore on June 30 this year. Union Bank is the most successful fourth-generation bank in the country.”
