Daraz announces Media Innovation Awards

Daraz Bangladesh has announced that it will be conferring the Bangladesh Media Innovation Awards 2022 to individuals and organisations in recognition of their incredible innovations in the country’s mass media industry.

The country’s biggest online marketplace made the declaration at a press conference held at the Parliament Members’ Club in Dhaka on Sunday.

Daraz Chief Marketing Officer Md Tajdin Hassan and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer AHM Hasinul Quddus Rusho, reserved seat MP Naheed Ezaher Khan and SBK Foundation Vice-Chairman Sonia Bashir Kabir briefed the media.

In a press release, Daraz said it was essential to promote the media industry’s growth and development to relish the golden prospects of Digital Bangladesh.

It said the awards will recognize the industry’s innovative initiatives that are taking the sector to the next level through digital transformation.

Bangladesh Media Innovation Awards will recognize the best performers in the local digital media under four segments — Youth Engagement, Broadcast Innovation, Digital Innovation and Print Innovation. The awards will be given in 24 distinct categories under the segments.

The awards will acknowledge and reward innovative practices like digital transformation, content marketing, news distribution among the media publishers, advertisers, broadcasters in Bangladesh, and many more aspects of modern media production, said the release.
