Khursheduzzaman Trust offers free eye treatment to 4,000 people

Khursheduzzaman Mishri Mia Welfare Trust has provided treatment services for various eye diseases, including free operations to about 4,000 underprivileged patients of Jamalpur’s Islampur sub-district.

Of these, 378 patients had cataract operations, and 34 had procedures for enlarged eye muscles and eye canal infections. Additionally, all patients receive free medication, according to a statement.

A three-day eye camp hosted at the Dhaka's Ma Digital General Hospital was attended by 15 skilled medical professionals working under the direction of ophthalmologist Prof Dr Hamidul Haque.

Board of Trustees of Dr Khursheduzzaman Mishri Mia Welfare Trust SM Shahinuzzaman said, “The people of Char area of this area are deprived of necessary eye care services. The trust aims to free the people of Islampur from blindness by Bangabandhu’s 105th birth anniversary.”
