Nagad selects MetLife as employee insurance provider

Nagad, Bangladesh’s fastest growing mobile financial services (MFS) organization, has selected MetLife to provide its employees with the financial protection of insurance.

As a result, employees of Nagad and their dependents (spouse and children) will be financially protected against accidents, disability, medical emergencies and loss of life, Metlife said in a statement on Saturday.

For selecting the employee insurance provider, Nagad has taken into consideration MetLife’s customized solutions, online claims settlement service, faster payment of insurance claims and financial strength.

In Bangladesh, MetLife provides insurance protection to over 2,70,000 employees and their dependents of more than 800 organizations.

An agreement signing ceremony was held recently in Dhaka between Nagad and MetLife Bangladesh.

Nagad Chief Executive Officer Rahel Ahmed, Executive Director Maruful Islam Jhalak, Chief Marketing Officer Sheikh Aminur Rahman, Human Resources and Administration Director Shaharear Sayeed, and Organizational Development and HR Operations Deputy General manager Md Tanvir Islam Khan were present at the ceremony.

MetLife Bangladesh Chief Executive Officer Ala Ahmad, Additional Managing Director Jafar Sadeque Chowdhury, Chief Corporate Business Officer Nafis Akhter Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director Ala Uddin, Head of Employee Benefits Mohammad Kamruzzaman, and Employee Benefits Assistant Director Monirul Islam were also present among others.
