Prime Bank, DESCO launch online bill collection service

Prime Bank and Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited (DESCO) has partnered up for online prepaid electricity bill collection.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony held recently at the DESCO head office at Nikunja in Dhaka where officials from both organizations were present, the bank said in a statement.

The agreement between Prime Bank and DESCO will allow customers of DESCO to pay their prepaid electricity bills at their nearest Prime Bank branches and other alternative delivery channels. Through this agreement the transaction will be realised and updated in DESCO database in real time.

DESCO Managing Director Md Kausar Ameer Ali, Joint Secretary and Executive Director (Finance) Kh Zoherul Islam, Executive Director (Procurement) AKM Mahiuddin, Prime Bank DMD and Head of Transaction Banking Shams Abdullah Muhaimin, Senior Vice President and Head of Cash Management Mohammad Farhan Adel were present among others.
