Khurshid Alam elected Union Capital Limited chairman

GM Khurshid Alam has been elected as the new chairman of Union Capital Limited at its 291st meeting of the board of directors of the company held on August 21, 2022.

Khurshid Alam is representing EC Securities Limited in the board of Union Capital Limited, said a press statement.

Khurshid Alam has been serving as operations director of the Policy Research Institutions of Bangladesh (PRI) since January 1, 2014. He is also holding the position of chairman of Prime Bank Securities Limited, independent director of Mobil-Jamuna Limited and director of Prime Bank Investment Limited.

He started his career with BCS (Administration) cadre in 1981. In 1995, he initially joined on lien the World Bank, and subsequently after resignation from government service continued in that organisation, where he served as senior private sector development specialist.
