UCEP Bangladesh organised a special event “UCEP Journey: Bangabandhu and Cheyne” on September 06.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni chaired the program as the chief guest .The Guest of Honor was New Zealand High Commissioner for Bangladesh HE David Pine, said a press release on Wednesday.
At the beginning of the program, Executive Director of UCEP Bangladesh Dr Karim delivered the maiden speech and provide power point presentation.
Chief guest Dr Dipu Moni praised UCEP Bangladesh for its outstanding contribution to the expansion of technical education since 1972. She thanked UCEP for initiating various trainings on professional skills, entrepreneurship development and courses to address Fourth Industrial Revolution (4th IR) and ICT. She also expressed that these activities of UCEP would help in achieving to fulfill the dream of Sonar Bangla, dreamt by the greatest Bangalee of all time, the father of the Nation, Banabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
HE David Pine mentioned that he is very delighted to see the UCEP’s contribution on technical education, its expansion and support to the underprivileged children and youth. UCEP Chairperson Ms Parveen Mahmud FCA expressed her gratitude to its founder Cheyne and humbly acknowledge the support received from Bangabandhu by Allan Cheyne during UCEP’s inception in 1972.
Senior Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Division NM Zeaul Alam, Past Chairperson of UCEP Bangladesh Ubaidur Rob among many others were present in the event.
The event ended with a captivating cultural program performed by the students of UCEP Bangladesh.
