‘More investment in maternal health will accelerate country’s dev’

The more the country invests in the maternal health of the expectant mother, the more the country will witness development.

Senior Secretary of ICT Department NM Ziaul Alam PAA remarked while speaking as a chief guest at a competition titled 'Pregnancy Monitoring Innovation Challenge 2022' organised by ATU, Directorate of Health, Directorate of Family Planning, International Fertility Research Center, Bangladesh (ICDDRB) and Obstetrical and Gynecological Society of Bangladesh (OGSB) on Thursday, a press release said.

The competition was launched to procure from indigenous innovators an innovative solution combining technical know-how and practice. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department Senior Secretary NM Ziaul Alam PAA was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony.

Through the 'Pregnancy Monitoring Innovation Challenge 2022', an innovative proposal will be awarded through which every woman can be provided with all the information related to emergency services during her pregnancy and ensure the provision of health care for daily needs.

The project director (joint secretary) of A2I, Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir highlighted the steps taken by ATUI for the development of health care and said that ATUI is regularly organizing various challenge competitions to solve the existing civic problems.

Today's challenge fund competition is organized to build and implement a suitable innovative digital tracking platform for accurate collection and storage of important pregnancy physical data of expectant mothers.
