Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division and A2i have organised an information session on Traceability Innovation Challenge 2022 on Monday at BASIS Auditorium.
AKM Ahmedul Islam BABU, Director, BASIS and also the Coordinator of this challenge from BASIS moderated the session after delivering his welcome speech, said a press release.
In his welcome address, he said that the goal of this challenge is to seek local IT-based innovative solutions to resolve the traceability issues of several sectors. He added that if we find an outstanding traceability idea or prototype then after developing it further under the joint efforts of BASIS and A2i we will be promoting our home-grown solution internationally.
Nayeem Ashrafi, Innovation Fund Expert, and Taufiqur Rahman, Device Innovation Expert, A2i provided a briefing about how to take part in this challenge and how the selected innovative idea or prototype would be supported further to tap the market opportunities.
Nayeem Ashrafi also responded to the queries made by the participants guiding them on how to prepare and submit their ideas for taking part in this challenge. Both of them iterated that A2i will support the strategic partnership, seed stage funding and other related assistance in cooperation with BASIS where necessary.
Enamul Hafiz Latifee, Joint Secretary (Research Fellow), and Ms. Farah Jabin Ahmed Assistant Manager, Stakeholder Management, BASIS along with over 30 BASIS member companies were also present at the information dissemination session.
Meanwhile, to recall, this challenge has been launched for end-to-end traceability and visibility solutions for manufacturing, agriculture, fisheries and livestock, leather, essential commodities, pharma, and potentially other sectors.
