Crony Group signs deal with 360° Total Solution for LEED certifications

Crony Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 360° TSL Green for USGBC (LEED) certifications. The (MoU)signing ceremony was held on September 28, said a press release.

Crony Group is a 100 per cent export-oriented garments manufacturing company. The group was established in 1994 with a vision to contribute towards the growth of Bangladesh as the second-largest textile industry in the world. Now they are going green. This group commitment to environmental sustainability is unprecedented and the entire group has decided to go for USGBC (LEED) certification.

BGMEA Director and Chairperson of Crony Group Neela Hosna Ara, former First Vice President of BKMEA and Managing Director of Crony Group AH Aslam Sunny, Directors of Crony Group Nafian Intasar and Nawshin Nawal, and Managing Director of 360 Total Solution Anata Ahmed were present at the signing ceremony. Crony Group has pledged to certify five of their factories under USGBC LEED. The projects are as follows: Crony Apparel Ltd. (3 Buildings, 3,86,030 sqft.) Crony Textile Unit (four buildings totaling 3,06,804 square feet) Abanti Colour Tex Ltd. (9 Buildings, 7,51,137 sqft) Crony Sweaters Ltd. (1 Building, 146,261 sqft) Crony Printing & Embroidery Ltd. (1 building, 83,949.52 sqft)

“Our employee’s experience is a top priority for us. Becoming LEED certified not only improves our energy efficiency and lowers our carbon footprint, but also creates a better environment for the Crony Family” said, Neela Hosna Ara, Chairman, Crony Group.

“We have already invested in 350 KW of renewable energy and pledge to have 1.5 MW of renewable energy across all units by 2025 added”, AH Aslam Sunny, Managing Director of Crony Group.
