EWU opens socio-psyche counselling centre

East West University (EWU) has inaugurated a permanent socio-psyche counselling centre in a bid to support the students on Sunday.

EWU Vice-Chancellor MM Shahidul Hassan inaugurated the centre along with Pro-VC Prof Muhammad Ziaulhaq Mamun, said a press release.

The centre will help the students to eliminate their negative thoughts and adapt new strategies to lead a balanced life. The counselling centre will also enhance students’ self-confidence and eliminate their social phobia. It will help them in making functional decisions both in personal and academic contexts.

EWU established the centre under the department of student welfare, as at present the students are facing a lot of negative thoughts, maladaptive behaviour, financial crisis, and low self-esteem.
