The ‘5th South Asian Evaluation Conclave 2022’ will be held on October 13 at Bisya Shahitya Kedro (World Literature Centre), Dhaka.
In order to implement the Conclave, a preparatory meeting was held under the chairmanship of Bangladesh Evaluation Society (BES) President Nuruzzaman, said a press release.
The meeting was attended among others by Chief Advisor to BES and former Principal Secretary and Principal Coordinator (SDGs) Prime Minister’s Office Md Abul Kalam Azad, Former Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Maritime Cell) Rear Admiral (Rtd.) Khurshed Alam, former senior secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Md Shah Kamal, Research Director of Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) and others.
This year’s theme, ‘Equity and Transformation’: focuses on evaluation readiness in challenging times that will explore lessons learned from evaluations undertaken in difficult circumstances and examine innovative techniques and tools used by evaluators.
Planning Minister MA Mannan, MP and former member of South Asian Parliamentary Forum for Assessors will be the Chief Guest in the main panel discussion. Members of BES, representatives of international organizations, NGOs and civil society organizations, academics will participate in the full-day event.
The Evaluation Conclave 2022 will be a forum for evaluation practitioners, commissioners of evaluation, academicians, and decision-makers to share their knowledge on effective, innovative and collaborative processes that have been used to enhance the value of evaluation in promoting equity and transmission at all levels, particularly during the pandemic and which may be useful for future crises times.
Evaluation Conclaves provide opportunities for knowledge building and sharing, capacity development, networking, advocacy, and developing protocols and standards for evaluation in South Asia.
