ICMAB signs MoU to build Bogra study centre

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Govt Azizul Haque College (GAHC) to promote the CMA profession and to offer easy access to CMA programme for the aspiring professional accountants on Saturday.

Under the agreement, GAHC intends to facilitate and cooperate with the purposes permitting ICMAB Bogra Study Center to operate on its premises, said a press release.

Md Mamunur Rashid, President of ICMAB and Prof Md Shajahan Ali, Principal, Govt Azizul Haque College signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.

Md Munirul Islam, vice president of ICMAB; AKM Kamruzzaman, secretary of ICMAB; Prof Md Mahtab Hossain Mondal, general secretary of Staff Council and Head of Mathematics Department, GAHC; and Prof Muhammad Abdur Rashid, Head of Arabic and Islamic Studies, GAHC attended the ceremony. 

 The ICMAB President highlighted various aspects of the CMA profession in his speech. He said that there is a special need for CMA degree holders in the administration and other departments including the accounting department of various multinational organizations, business and commercial organizations, production department of industrial establishments, etc.

Apart from this, the work area of CMAs is also increasing in various development organizations. Moreover, one can start an ICMAB recognized cost audit firm to independently provide various services including business analysis, tax consultancy, management consultancy, and financial analysis. The CMA program is also relevant if someone wants to become an entrepreneur.

The student admission process in the newly established study center at Bogra will start from the Next session.
