Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) is going to be held its 15th general conference in Dhaka on November 14-16.
The programme will be hosted by Daffodil International University (DIU), said a press release.
Dhaka is going to witness the largest grand gathering of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) leaders, presidents, Vice-chancellors, top executive and International Relations officials of intuitions from across the world in the conference. The primary purpose of AUAP is to be the main platform for effective interaction and collaboration between member institutions and to be an effective voice for universities in Asia and the Pacific region for global exposure.
To this end, it has worked steadfastly, facilitated by a host of bodies. The Advisory Council, headed by Dr Wichit Srisaan, Chairman of Suranaree University of Technology, Thailand, where AUAP was founded, has twenty other distinguished educational leaders of Asia and the Pacific region.
The Executive Board is currently headed by AUAP President, Dr Peter P Laurel, from LPU, Philippines, has ten members, including the first Vice President, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, the Founder & Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University (DIU). Dr Peter P Laurel, has warmly welcomed delegates from members and even non-member universities of AUAP to congregate in Dhaka to deliberate upon the given theme and sub-themes and explore possible way out of the current challenges in higher education today.
AUAP operations are facilitated by a three-member Secretariat, and different active sub-committees, focused on five essential themes of higher education today: digital transformation, research & innovation, quality assurance, communication, and country chapter chair. It has several publications, academic Olympiads for students, research fund and scholarships.
