USAID’s Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Support (YES) Activity comprised of Relief International, mPower Social, CCDB and YPSA have organised “Youth Start-up Competition 2022” on October 31.
The event has been organised as an appreciation towards the efforts of the youths in Cox’s Bazar. The three winners of the start-up competition were awarded with crest, certificates and prize money, said a press release.
Among hundreds of entries from Cox’s Bazar, 10 best business ideas were presented during the competition from which the three best entrepreneurs were selected as winners.
Md Abdus Salam Sikder, Deputy Director, Department of Youth Development was the chief guest of the event which was moderated by Imtiaz Alam Tanim from mPower Social. Adnan Mehedee Khan, K. M. Ragibul Haque and Ikbal Hossain were responsible for the overall coordination of the event.
The judges of the competition were – Shahana Sharmin, Chief of Party, USAID’s YES Activity, Relief International; Zaki Haider Director of Innovation, mPower Social; and Imran Kibria Head of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, CCDB.
Nazma Akter (Palongki Konna), Md Sakir Alam (Plastic Bank) and Jannatul Ferdous Sathi (Sathi Fashion Tailors & Training Centre) were declared as the event winners.
