Amazon Web Services (AWS) Outposts rack can now be shipped and installed at data centres and on-premises locations in Bangladesh. AWS came up with the announcement on its website on Wednesday.
AWS Outposts rack, a part of the AWS Outposts family, is a fully managed service that extends AWS infrastructure, AWS services, APIs, and tools to virtually any data centre or co-location space for a truly consistent hybrid experience.
AWS Outposts rack is ideal for workloads that require low latency access to on-premises systems, local data processing, and migration of applications with local system interdependencies. Outposts rack can also help meet data residency requirements.
With the availability of Outposts rack in Bangladesh, users can now avail AWS services to execute their workloads and data in their domestic on-premises facilities and link to the closest AWS region for management and operations.

“AWS Outposts rack will allow us to use cloud services and tools to build new network services with a high degree of digitalisation, analytics, using the same AWS tools we use today,” he added.
Shyam Sunder Sikder, Chairman of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) said, “Cloud native 5G platforms allow a wide range of private and public infrastructure options. Building telecom 5G Core on an AWS Outposts rack infrastructure will make it possible to use AWS technologies in Bangladesh at on-premises sites to fulfil the demands of both commercial and consumer clients.”
