ULAB holds MSJ Apprenticeship Day

University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) held the Apprenticeship Day Fall 2022 of the Department of Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) on October 28.

The event was organised at ULAB Research Building in Dhaka, said a press release.

Apprenticeship Day is an event to showcase different apprenticeship programme of MSJ Department, offering practical opportunities for students to engage in skill-based activities related to media, film and public relations industries.

Professor Jude William Genilo, the Head of the Department of Media Studies and Journalism, gave a speech about the importance of apprenticeship programmes and how it works.

He said, “As a freshman, you should start thinking about what you can do to impact society and the industry. You are investing your time here to learn. Learning does not just take place in the classroom but practical learning also takes place outside. Choose the apprenticeship program for you and hone your skills.”

A video screening and a presentation session of apprenticeship and outreach programmes were held to give some basic ideas to newcomers about their programmes.
