Cyber Security Center of Daffodil International University observed ‘Cyber Security Awareness Day-2022’ on the occasion of International Cyber Security Month on November 12.
Prof Md Sazzad Hossain, Member, University Grants Commission was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the daylong event in Daffodil Smart City, Dhaka, Ashulia. This year the theme of the day is ‘Don’t let Cyber Crime ruin your life’, said a press release.
The inauguration ceremony was also addressed by Md Sabur Khan, Chairman of Board of Trustees of DIU, Professor M Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of DIU, Prof. SM Mahbub Ul Haque Majumdar, Pro Vice Chancellor or DIU, Prof Md Fokhray Hossain, Dean of FSIT, Maruf Hasan, Director of the DIU Cyber Security Center. Apart from them Departments Heads from several departments, other faculty members and students were present in the event.
While addressing at the inauguration session Professor Md Sajjad Hossain said, ‘’we have already managed to digitise the entire country according to the Prime Minister’s vision 2021. But now is the time to strengthen our digital security in this age of information technology; and this is why we need to create awareness among mass people about Cyber Security.”
