Metronet Bangladesh Limited, one of the leading IT companies in the country, recently launched an academy programme to train more than thousands of people annually for developing their soft and technical skills.
The President of the Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) and also the Managing Director and CEO of Metronet Bangladesh Limited (MBL) Syed Almas Kabir inaugurated the Metronet Academy in Dhaka’s Gulshan.
“The main condition for the implementation of the goal of the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to see a knowledge-based country by 2041 is to make our manpower efficient. Over the last two decades, MBL has created tens of thousands of human resources in the networking sector, who are working in various organizations and have built various organizations themselves as entrepreneurs,” said a press release quoting Kabir.
“Now, it is necessary to start working with youth to make Bangladesh prosperous. Despite the increase in the use of information technology, no such organization has been established in the last one and a half years. I am hopeful that Metronet Academy will also play a leading role in this regard,” said the MBL CEO.
Shamim Ahmed, SAVP, Muhammad Redwanul Karim, AVP, Tania Huq Pranti, FAVP and Moon Mondal Rajib, Branding
and Communication Manager conducted a training session on the inauguration day.
