Eastern University organises programming contest

Eastern University organised the ‘38th Intra University Programming Contest’ and a ‘Project Showcase Competition’ on November 15 at its campus in Dhaka.

As the part of regular events, the department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) organised the programmes, powered by the Eastern University Computing Club (EUCC), said a press release.

A total of 26 teams participated in the programming contest and 12 teams took part in the project showcase competition. The top three teams from the both competitions were awarded with exciting prize money.

Team EU_Dragons, EU_Warriors and EU_Extraminators became the champion, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up respectively in the programming contest.

In the project showcase competition, ‘Airport Security System’ and `Smart Room with automation’ projects were selected as the champion and 1st runner up respectively. ‘Automated Water Tank Monitoring System’ and ‘My Digital Room’ became the 2nd runner up jointly.

Professor Dr Shahid Akhtar Hossain, Vice Chancellor of Eastern University was the chief guest of the programme and distributed the prizes among the winners.

Professor Dr Md Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology was present as the special guest while the Muhammad Mahfuz Hasan, Chairperson of CSE department was the session chair in the prize giving ceremony.
