ICMAB, CPA Australia sign MoU
ICMAB President Md Mamunur Rashid and CPA Australia CEO Andrew Hunter signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh and CPA Australia started a strategic alliance by signing a MoU at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, India on November 20.

ICMAB President Md Mamunur Rashid and CPA Australia CEO Andrew Hunter signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.

ICMAB Council members, members of the CPA Australia Board of Directors, and the officials of both institutions witnessed the signing ceremony.

The parties share common and strong interests in the advancement of the profession of accountancy, especially about the maintenance and strengthening of professional standards and educational standards, as well as the globalization of the profession.

The purpose of this MoU is to record the discussion, understanding, and agreement between CPA Australia and ICMAB for working collaboratively towards a mutual membership recognition agreement and to keep it in line with the contents of the developed cooperation. It is expected that the partnership will enhance the mutual understanding and promotion of the common development of the accounting and auditing profession in Australia and Bangladesh by improving the quality and benefits for members of the two Parties.

With signing this MoU, members of ICMAB will be required to pass only one CPA subject exam for getting the membership of CPA Australia.
