Rupali Bank gets two new DMDs

Delwara Begum and Tahmina Akhter have joined as the two new Deputy Managing Directors (DMDs) of Rupali Bank Limited.

Delwara Begum has recently joined Rupali Bank Limited as deputy managing director after being promoted by the Government by a circular of the financial institutions division of the Ministry of Finance. Before joining as DMD, she successfully served as general manager at Janata Bank.

She started her career by joining Janata Bank as a senior officer through the Bankers’ Recruitment Committee(BRC) in 1988. During her long service of 34 years, she served as manager in various branches of the bank, besides being the head of the important departments of the head office, including research and planning, welfare and HR.

She graduated from University of Dhaka with an MA degree in Finance and Banking. She got a place in the combined merit list of the Dhaka Board in the HSC examination and signed the merit.

Tahmina Akhter has recently joined Rupali Bank Limited as Deputy Managing Director after being promoted by the Government by a circular of the Financial Institutions division of the Ministry of Finance. Before joining as DMD, she successfully served as general manager in the same bank.

She joined Rupali Bank as a Senior Officer in 1998 through BRC. In a long banking career of 24 years, he worked in various branches of Rupali Bank as branch manager and head office establishment and welfare division, audit and Inspection division, finance administration division and head of treasury in the treasury division.

Besides, she successfully served as principal and general manager in Rupali Bank Training Academy and as head of department in divisional office Barisal and Dhaka North Division. She played an important role in banking fund management and foreign dealing business.

She obtained bachelor and master degrees from the psychology department of University of Dhaka. She is an honorary diplomat associate of the institute of bankers’ Bangladesh (IBB).
