BARVIDA (Bangladesh Reconditioned Vehicles Importers and Dealers Association) leaders had a discussion meeting with the Chairman of Mongla Port AuthorityRiar Admiral Mohammad Musa, on Monday.
The BARVIDA delegation led by its President Md Habib Ullah Dawn, the Joint Secretary General, Treasurer and the executive committee members attended.
He thanked the Custom House Commissioner for all out cooperation provided at the custom house. He urged the commissioner to postpone the auctions for the vehicles imported after this January.
The BARVIDA president also requested the customs commissioner for waiver of the Tk 3000 fine imposed for every vehicle after 30 days of arrival.
BARVIDA also emphasised on speedy drazing of Poshur river so that big ships can land in the port as vehicles import is increasing after inauguration of Padma bridge.
The port chairman expressed his thankfulness for BARVIDA’s contribution in revenue generation. He has taken the BARVIDA proposals warmly and assured of implementing those as soon as possible.
