Marico gets recognition as top corporate from ICMAB, ICAB

Marico Bangladesh Limited won the ‘Gold Award’ in MNC Manufacturing Category at the ‘Best Corporate Award’ organised by the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants, Bangladesh (ICMAB).

The award was handed over at a gala event held in Dhaka recently where a total of 65 companies won awards under 17 categories.

Marico Bangladesh Limited also won a ‘Certificate of Merit’ in the Manufacturing Category from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Bangladesh (ICAB) for Best Presented Annual Report, which was given out by the ICAB at an award ceremony held in Dhaka recently, said a press release.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, and Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam were present among others at both events to present the awards to the winners.

Both the ICAB and ICMAB are major national accounting bodies in Bangladesh registered under the Ministry of Commerce. Both organisations arrange such events every year to encourage good governance, financial transparency and organisational financial health, based on the participating organisations’ published annual reports.

Speaking about recognitions, Marico Bangladesh MD Rajat Diwaker said, “We, at Marico Bangladesh, have always strived to provide the best products to our consumers while ensuring the highest level of governance standards.
