Baraka Patenga Power Limited, the second private power plant of Baraka Group, held its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on digital platform on Thursday.
Declaration of 10 per cent cash dividend for the fiscal year 2021-2022 along with other agenda were approved at the meeting with the vote of the shareholders, said a press release.
In his speech at the meeting, the company’s Chairman Gulam Rabbani Chowdhury said that the company invested 51 per cent of total shares of each of Baraka Shikalbaha Power Limited and Karnaphuli Power Limited.
Apart from this, the company also invested in 51 per cent of total shares in a newly established securities house namely Baraka Securities Limited and in the future, Baraka Patenga Power Limited will invest in other profitable projects, he added. Managing Director Monzur Kadir Shafi expressed his sincere gratitude to the board of directors and shareholders for their true cooperation.
He said that during FY22, the consolidated profit of Baraka Patenga Power Limited was Tk 21.52 crore. EPS of Baraka Patenga Power Ltd stood at Tk 1.25 and the net assets value per share stood at Tk 28.92 as on June 30, 2022.
