LankaBangla to fund dialysis center at AMCGH

LankaBangla Foundation is set to donate Tk 1.29 crore to the Ahsania Mission Cancer and General Hospital (AMCGH) for the establishment of a well-equipped dialysis centre for the treatment of kidney patients.

Khwaja Shahriar, managing director and CEO of LankaBangla Finance Limited and Al Hajj Kazi Rafiqul Alam, chairman of Ahsania Mission Cancer and General Hospital along with the managing director of the hospital and a renowned oncologist Prof Dr Kamruzzaman Chowdhury recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of their respective organisations in this regard, said a press release.

On this occasion, the heads of both organisations discussed various issues related to the advanced treatment of kidney diseases and the establishment and management of the dialysis centre.

Khwaja Shahriar, managing director and CEO of LankaBangla Finance, said, “Since the beginning, LankaBangla Foundation has been working jointly with various institutions to serve the society. I hope that from this dialysis centre, the general people would be able to get advanced medical care.”

AMCGH Chairman Al Hajj Kazi Rafiqul Alam said, “Ahsania Mission’s target is to establish a world-class healthcare centre to serve all categories of people in need of cancer treatment. I believe, patients suffering from kidney problems will be able to receive quality medical care from this dialysis centre”.

He expressed his sincere appreciation to the LankaBangla Foundation for contributing in the hospital project.

The donation was made as a part of LankaBangla Foundation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme aiming to provide medical services for general people and make the 25 years anniversary of LankaBangla Finance special.

LankaBangla Finance’s Head of Treasury and FIs Division Quamrul Islam; Board Secretariat and Head of Regulatory Affairs Mostafa Kamal, FCA; Head of Human Resources Division Mohammad Hafiz Al Ahad; Head of General and Infrastructure Division Muhammad Habib Haider; Head of Brand Marketing and Communications Md Raziuddin, and Admin and Human Resources Director of Ahsania Mission Cancer and General Hospital Md Iftekharul Islam; Planning and Development Director Kazi Shamima Sharmin; Secretary of Dhaka Ahsania Mission USA Anisul Kabir Jasir and other senior officials of the both organisations were present in the signing ceremony.
