BGB Day to be celebrated on Tuesday

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will celebrate its BGB Day-2022 across the country in festive mood on Tuesday.

On the occasion, BGB director general Major General Shakil Ahmed will host the BGB’s regimental flag at BGB headquarters in the morning and pay tribute to Liberation War martyrs by placing floral wreaths at Simanto Gourav, said a press release.

Besides, special prayers will be offered at all mosques in Pilkhana after Fajr prayers. Later, a special darbar will be held at the border conference centre in Pilkhana.

Before the Darbar, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over trophies awarded to the battalions and BGB personnel for their outstanding performance in operational activities, prevention of smuggling and seizure of narcotics.

Marking the day, regimental flag will be hoisted and special prayers, feast and cultural programme will be arranged at all regional sectors and units of BGB.
