IT club of ISU holds seminar on career development

The Information Technology (IT) club of International Standard University (ISU) held a seminar on competitive programming and career development at its Mohakhali campus on Sunday.

Renowned web developer, founder and CEO of Programming Hero presented the keynote speech at the seminar where ISU Treasurer (in-charge) HTM Quader Newaz was present as the chief guest, said a press release.

The seminar was chaired by Syed Mustafizur Rahman Chowdhury, Chairperson of the Computer Science and Engineering Department of ISU where Registrar Md Lutfor Rahman was present as the special guest.

During his speech, HTM Quader Newaz said, “To survive in the competitive world, students have no option but to keep pace with the changing technologies.”

Jhankar Mahbub, who is also working in the Nielsen Company of the United States, suggested that the key career plan should be made during the student life.

“The reality is different and challenging. To convert dreams into reality, it is important to determine the strategies earlier. When we work, we make mistakes and maturity comes from mistakes”, he said.

Teachers and students of Computer Science and Engineering Department and IT club members were also present at the seminar.
