University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) recently organised a two-day blood donation programme in Dhaka recently through a joint initiative of ULAB Social Welfare Club and Rhythm Blood Bank.
The programme was attended by Selima Quader Chowdhury, advisor of the ULAB Social Welfare Club, and respected doctors and volunteers of Rhythm Blood Bank, said a press release.
The main objective of the programme was to create a proper campaign about blood donation among general students and to motivate them to donate blood.
Besides, the blood donated by the students in the programme will be distributed free of charge to the poor and common people by Rhythm Blood Bank, said the release.
Also, in the programme, a student had the opportunity to get his or her blood group tested free of charge and get a doctor's advice. Above all, the programme was fruitful with the participation of numerous students of ULAB, the release added.
