The Dhaka Branch Council (DBC) of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) organised ‘DBC Fellowship Night-2022’ for the ICMAB members at International Convention City, Bashundhara in the capital on December 23.
Planning Minister MA Mannan was present at the programme as the chief guest while North-South University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Atiqul Islam was present as the special guest, said a press release.
ICMAB President and Index Group Additional Managing Director Md Mamunur Rashid was present as the guest of honour of the event presided over by DBC Chairman Dr Syed Abdulla Al Mamun.
The planning minister, in his speech, appraised the role of cost and management accountants for the economic development of the country. He advised the members to peruse the CMA education with dedication and sincerity.
Dr Mamun in his speech emphasised on role of CMA in the context of present global economy and competitive business environment.
DBC Secretary Muhammad Nazrul Islam gave the welcome address and DBC Vice Chairman Safiul Azam offered the vote of thanks.
Among others, Dhaka Branch Seminar and Conference Committee Chairman Mannan Bapari spoke at the programme.
A large number of members of the institute, high officials of government and semi-government agencies, executives of corporations, multinational and local companies, leading business personalities, and social elites were present at the programme.
