PRAN Dairy Limited, a sister concern of PRAN Group, received the top taxpayer award for FY 2021-22.
National Board of Revenue (NBR) honoured PRAN Dairy in the food and allied category, said a press release.
NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem handed over the award to PRAN-RFL Group Director (Accounts) Choudhury Atiur Rasul at a programme held at Officers’ Club in the capital on Wednesday.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal and Senior Secretary of Finance Division Fatima Yasmin were also present at the programme as chief guest and special guest respectively.
Choudhury Atiur Rasul said, “All entities of PRAN-RFL group are playing important role in the development of the country through paying VAT and tax regularly. We are getting recognition from the government every year for paying VAT and tax, which inspires us.”
This year, NBR honoured 141 top taxpayers. Of the recipients, 76 in the individual category, 53 companies and 12 in other categories received the award for paying the highest amount of taxes for the year 2021-22.
