Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd organised a scientific seminar titled ‘Thromboembolism- Pulmonologist’s Perspective’ in partnership with Planetary Health Academia (PHA) and Bangladesh Lung Foundation (BLF) in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The programme was chaired by BLF President Ali Hossain, said a press release.
During the programme, PHA Chairperson Tasbirul Islam and BLF Secretary General Asif Mujtaba Mahmood spoke on the seminar topic as well as PHA and BLF activities, vision and goals.
They expressed their opinion about how to improve the healthcare sector of Bangladesh, elaborated on the future planning of PHA and also thanked Incepta Pharmaceuticals for being their scientific partner since the beginning of their journey.
An award-giving ceremony was also organised by PHA which is sponsored by Incepta Pharmaceuticals under the banner of ‘Pulmonary Medicine Travel Fellowship Award’ with the amount of Tk 3 lakh.
The award was handed over to the winner Arjuman Sharmin who will travel to the USA for a two-week course. During her visit, she will get the opportunity to gain updated practical knowledge under the guidance of renowned pulmonologists in the USA.
The travel plan was designed by PHA to enrich the knowledge of young pulmonologists in Bangladesh. The award winner expressed her gratitude to PHA and Incepta for arranging such a fellowship programme.
Among others, BLF Vice Presidents- Mostafizur Rahman, Mohammad Mohiuddin Ahmed, Dhaka Medical College Respiratory Medicine Head Syed Rezaul Huq, BLF Joint Secretary Kazi Saifuddin Bennoor and many other renowned pulmonologists were present at the seminar.
