Rashid Ahmed elected vice chairman of IEB, Chattogram

Rashid Ahmed Chowdhury has been elected vice chairman of Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), Chattogram.

Rashid Ahmed Chowdhury is currently serving as the chairman of the board of directors of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited, said a press release.

Besides, he has been working successfully for 21 years as an associate professor at Chittagong Independent University. He is also a member of the board of trustees and chairman of the Finance Committee of International Islamic University Chattogram (IIUC).

He is also the president of Divisional Social Welfare Federation, advisor of No 28 Pathantuli Ward Awami League, donor member of Chittagong Maa and Sishu Hospital Executive Committee and former joint general secretary of Chattogram Diabetic Society.

He has worked in various domestic and international organisations during his long career.
